Who is Institute of One for?

Principals, superintendents, deans, provosts and program directors in schools, districts and colleges who are setting AI rules and carrying the work that comes with them.

Should our school or district have an AI policy?

Yes. A workable policy says which uses are allowed by role and by assignment, what data may go into which tools, and how students and staff disclose AI use. Write it around tasks rather than product names, so it survives the next tool.

Does AI tutoring work?

It depends on the design, and the evidence is still being built. Fortune reports that the Gates Foundation’s new tutoring pilots will be evaluated by outside researchers, with success measured by whether students who have fallen behind catch up. Ask any vendor for evidence from settings like yours.

How should we handle AI and academic integrity?

Start with recurring writing that follows a pattern: summaries of reports, meeting notes, routine letters and first drafts of plans. Keep student records out of tools your contracts do not cover, and have a person check anything that goes to families.

How do we train teachers on AI?

In small cohorts, on their own lesson plans and marking, with one written rule about what the tool may and may not do. Give teachers time for it inside the working day, not after it.
